The palm, moved by a crank slider, is shaken to and fro as if there is a storm. The sculpture shows playfully how the military language takes up terms from other spheres of the language and so they infiltrate into these spheres. Originally the word "desert storm" indicates a natural phenomenon. In 1991 it had been used as a code name to describe the military action for the repelling of the Iraqui army from Kuwait. |
